Early voting begins today for Paw Paw town council

Residents of the Town of Paw Paw who are registered to vote can begin early voting in the town’s election of mayor and council today, May 15, at Town Hall.

Running for his third term as Mayor is incumbent Alton Wolfe. He is unopposed in his bid.

The race for five council seats is thick with nine candidates.

Seeking to keep their council seats are the five current council members: David Clark, Susi Fletcher, Eldridge Kerns, Joshua Miller and Robert Rowzee.

They face challengers William “Bill” Hayes, Earl Douglas “Buttons” Meyers, Jr., Robert Jeffery Palmer and Zachary Augustas Thomas.

Early voting in person continues at Paw Paw Town Hall during business hours through Thursday, May 30.

Voters can also cast a ballot during special Town Hall hours this Saturday, May 18 and next Saturday, May 25 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The Town of Paw Paw election will be held on Tuesday, June 4.

According to county records, there are 401 registered voters inside the town limits.
