Helen M. Moats
1929-2020
Helen Margaret Moats, age 90, of Hancock, Md., passed away on Wednesday, March 11, 2020 at her home.
Born July 4, 1929, in Hancock, she was the daughter of the late Howard James Weller, Sr. and Olive Mae (Mellott) Weller; and the widow of Leroy E. Moats, who passed away March 25, 2012.
She was a member of the Orchard Ridge First Church of God, in Hancock.
She loved to garden and hunt mushrooms.
Helen is survived by two sons, Craig L. Moats, of Hancock, and Eddie L. Moats and his wife, Sylvia, of Hancock; one daughter, Sheila D. Richardson and her husband, Michael, of Hancock; six grandchildren, Eric L. Moats, Jamey A. Moats, Cheralee Souders, Rachele True, Heidi Dibble, and Jennifer Sensel; ten great-grandchildren; one great-great grandson; and one brother, Donald R. Weller, of Hancock.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one brother, Howard James Weller, Jr.; and one sister, J. Louise Reed.
Her funeral services will be private.
