As excitement builds for fall hunting in West Virginia, the Division of Natural Resources (WVDNR) is reminding anyone born on or after January 1, 1975, that completing a hunter education course is a legal requirement before buying a hunting license.
“Hunter education is the foundation of safe and responsible hunting,” said WVDNR Director Brett McMillion. “Our program is designed to give new hunters the knowledge and confidence they need to enjoy West Virginia’s traditions while prioritizing safety and conservation.”
