Police responded to an emergency 911 call about someone making threats on Facebook on Sunday, April 30 at about 12:30 p.m.
According to a criminal complaint filed in Morgan County Magistrate Court by Morgan County Sheriff’s Deputy Roper, explicit death threats against the victim and her unborn baby were posted on her Facebook page.
Allen R. Swisher, 44, of Berkeley Springs is accused of being the person who posted those threatening messages.
Morgan County Prosecutor Dan James confirmed with police the disturbing messages were a violation of a personal safety order in effect until January 2025 against Swisher, and called for his arrest.
Swisher was arrested and charged with violation of a personal safety order. He is incarcerated at Eastern Regional Jail awaiting a hearing.
