Photographs are now being accepted for the 2022 Morgan County Photo Contest, sponsored by The Morgan Messenger. The deadline for entries is Friday, April 22.
Anyone may submit up to THREE photos of Morgan County scenes and people, landscapes or local events.
Winners in each category will receive a year’s subscription to The Morgan Messenger and other prizes.
The winning pictures will be printed in The Morgan Messenger and published in our online edition. Any entries may be used in the newspaper or other Messenger projects, including a special Outdoor Morgan County publication, throughout the next year.
Contest rules
Categories can change based on photos submitted to the contest. In the past, awards have been given for Best People Photo, Animal Photo, Nature Photo, Scenic Photo, Local Scenes and Structure Photo, as well as a Judge’s Choice for overall local appeal and impact.
A special Youth category is set aside for photographers aged 12 and under.

Photographers can digitally submit up to three (3) of their best entries for this year’s contest. There is no entry fee. All photos must have been taken recently, and in Morgan County.
Each entry should be emailed to editor@morganmessenger.com with a subject line of “2022 Photo Contest.”
Along with the photo file, include the photographer’s name, contact information and a title/caption for each photo. Digital files should be full resolution, and be named with a title and the photographer’s last name.
Photos may be emailed to The Morgan Messenger through April 22.
Winners will be announced in early May.
