Retha Helen Barker
1940-2021
Retha Helen “Tish” Barker, age 81, of Berkeley Springs, W.Va., died on Saturday, December 18, 2021 at The Berkeley Springs Center LLC.
Born June 5, 1940 in the Ridersville section of Morgan County, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late George Vernon and Laura Virginia Householder Barker.
She was a Christian.
Tish attended public schools in Morgan County, W.Va.
She had worked seasonally at local canneries and also at Musselman’s Apple in Inwood, W.Va. She retired after more than 30 years as a bath attendant at Berkeley Springs State Park.
She loved to play with her nieces and nephews and had been a homemaker in recent years.
She is survived by three sisters, Wilda Marie Maconaughey of Berkeley Springs, Etta Maxine Miller and Ella Mae Piper and her husband Edward, all of Galivants Ferry, S.C. and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Vernon Leo Barker.
Services and interment will be private.
