Ruth Marie Miller
1928-2026
Ruth Marie Miller, age 97, of Berkeley Springs, W.Va., passed away on Monday, September 21, 2026 at the War Memorial Hospital Extended Care Facility.
Born November 10, 1928 in Berkeley Springs, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late William Harold and Gladys May Beeler Eppinger.
She was a member of Highland Church.
Ruth attended Berkeley Springs High School.
Ruth worked as a waitress. She was a member of the Republican Club, War Memorial Hospital Auxiliary, Apple Valley Bowling Association and Highland United Methodist Women.
Ruth enjoyed bowling, reading, word searches, quilting, playing cards especially Rook, traveling on trips with Schrock Bus Travel, watching her favorite sports teams, the Washington Nationals and Washington Redskins and loved cooking Sunday dinners for her family.
She is especially known for her delicious homemade pies she made for the Warm Springs Restaurant and many local people.
Ruth is survived by her children, Brenda J. Feltner (David), Darrell S. Miller and Lisa G. Hess (Robert), all of Berkeley Springs, W.Va., one daughter-in-law, Maggie of Fairmont, W.Va., one sister-in-law, Dixie Miller of Berkeley Springs, W.Va., 10 grandchildren, Damian Feltner (Christina), Holly Morgan (Erik), Justin Litten (Amy), Adam Litten (Heather), Julia Miller, Ricky Yost (Ashlea), David Fultz II (April), Brett Fultz (Katelyn), Amber Fleming (Mike) and Cody Hess (Rachel), 26 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred E. Miller, one son, Randy K. Miller, five sisters, Evelyn F. Stotler, Helen J. Younker, Julia M. McBee, Geraldine “Becky” Ruppenthal and Mary Joyce Eppinger and four brothers, Herbert L. Eppinger, William “Bill” Eppinger, Philip B. Eppinger, and Richard H. Eppinger.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Friday, September 25, 2026 at Helsley-Johnson Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 95 Union Street, Berkeley Springs, W.Va. with Pastor Kenny Mason officiating. Burial will be in Greenway Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 1 p.m.-3 p.m. & 5 p.m.-7 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.
