Morgan County Parks & Recreation celebrated the opening of a new public Catch & Release fishing area on Saturday, September 12, offering prizes and a tour of the new facility.
Volunteers asked county officials to turn a pond at the county’s Business Park into a family-friendly fishing area, and took the project forward to create a new place to relax, fish and enjoy nature.
The pond is located at 257 JR Hawvermale Way off of U.S. 522 south of Berkeley Springs. Amenities include a new fishing dock.
