Town of Bath Tree Board to hold Arbor Day celebration & tree planting Saturday

The Town of Bath Tree Board is asking residents and visitors to join in celebrating Arbor Day on Saturday, April 25  at 10 a.m. in the Berkeley Springs State Park.

The event will feature the planting of a sugar maple tree, the state tree and a symbol of the town’s ongoing commitment to environmental stewardship, community beautification, and the preservation of its natural heritage.

Arbor Day is a time to recognize the vital role trees play in improving air and water quality, supporting wildlife, and enhancing the well-being of our community. The sugar maple, known for its vibrant seasonal color and adaptability, was selected as a fitting addition to the park’s landscape.

Local officials, community members, and volunteers will participate in the ceremony, which will include brief remarks highlighting the importance of urban forestry and sustainable land management.

Attendees will have the opportunity to learn more about local conservation efforts and ways to get involved in caring for the Town of Bath’s natural resources.

All members of the community are encouraged to attend and take part in this celebration of nature and community spirit. For more information, contact the town administrator at Townadmin@townofbathwv.gov
