Cold night air crackled with excitement as the ninth annual Winterfest parade stepped off in downtown Berkeley Springs on Saturday, December 6.
Following the Tri-state Honor Guard, Warm Springs Middle School marching band led the parade with instructor Ian Helmick.
Floats with Christmas characters, emergency vehicles with flashing lights, and trucks decorated for the holidays rolled down Washington Street, tossing candy to waving children.
After the parade, the town’s Christmas tree was lit, and families lined up to get their picture taken with Santa and Mrs. Claus beneath the tree.
