School board approves Widmyer assistant principals, other changes in staff

The Morgan County Board of Education has approved the recent hirings, resignations and transfers of professional and service staff in the school system:

Professional Personnel

Employment of Nicole Hiles, Board Certified Behavior Analyst, County, effective beginning December 8, contingent upon meeting employment requisites. Funding if from an Opioid Grant.

Resignation of Diana McCoy, Substitute Teacher, County effective at the end of the day on October 29.

Resignation of Ben Taylor, Mobile Endpoint Specialist, effective at the end of the day on November 24.

Retirement of Lori Edwards, Fourth Grade Teacher at Warm Springs Intermediate School, effective at the end of the day on January 31, 2025.

Employment of Lisa Wenzel, Interim Assistant Principal, Widmyer Elementary School, effective beginning November 5 for the remaining of the 2025-2026 school year.

Employment of Tonya Weaver, Administrative Assistant, effective December 8, contingent on meeting employment requisites.

Transfer of Kathleen Fisher, First Grade Teacher, Widmyer Elementary School to Assistant Principal, Widmyer Elementary School, effective beginning August 1, 2026.

Unpaid leave of absence for Megan Lord, Physical Education Teacher, Widmyer Elementary School, effective beginning September 17 through December 5.

Addition of a full-time position for a Self-Contained Special Education Teacher, Widmyer Elementary School.

Service Personnel

Resignation of Roger Steiner, Substitute Custodian, County, effective at the end of the day on October 22.

Employment of Rachel Gue, Cook II, Widmyer Elementary School, effective beginning November 5, contingent upon meeting employment requisites.

Employment of Tori Landers, Long-Term Substitute Clerk, Widmyer Elementary School, effective beginning November 5 until the regular employee returns to work.

Employment of Rebecca Kelley, Itinerant Classroom Aide, Berkeley Springs High School, effective beginning October 22, contingent upon meeting employment requisites

Resignation of Darlene McClintock, Substitute Aide & Clerk, effective October 27.

Employment of Shannan Spears and Nancy Yost as Substitute Custodians, effective November 19.
