Jules kicks off annual EPEC donation drive

Jules Enchanting Gifts in Berkeley Springs is once again collecting donations from the community to deliver to the Eastern Panhandle Empowerment Center for local victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, stalking and human trafficking.

On Sunday, November 30, the shop will host its 7th annual donation drive to benefit the Eastern Panhandle Empowerment Center (EPEC).

This year’s drive focuses on gathering essential items for individuals and families in need, including non-perishable food, clothing, toiletries, personal care items, and household necessities.

Donations will be delivered to EPEC on Giving Tuesday to bring timely support to local residents.

“We’re always blown away by the generosity of this community,” said Jules Happy Rone, owner of Jules Enchanting Gifts. “Every year, people come together in the most amazing ways to help EPEC, and we’re incredibly grateful to everyone who’s already stepping up.”

Local realtor Sabrena Funk annually rents the truck used to collect and deliver donations, as well as all of the individuals and organizations who have already committed contributions for this year’s drive.

As a fun addition to the day, Jules will once again host its beloved “Share a Snuggle Warmies” Project.

For every microwavable Warmies stuffed animal purchased during the event, the shop will donate one to EPEC, a comforting gift for children and adults receiving assistance.

The makers of Warmies will also contribute to the effort again this year.

Suggested donation items for this local drive include:

  • Food: Non-perishables such as cereal, canned goods, microwavable meals
  • Clothing: Gently used clothing of all kinds, plus new socks and underwear
  • Household Items: Soap, shower gel, cleaning supplies, washcloths, and small household appliances like toasters, pots and pans, and kitchen essentials
  • Personal Care: Feminine hygiene products and toiletries of all kinds

Those unable to attend in person can still participate.

Donations can be shipped directly to:
