West Virginia’s buck firearms season opened this Monday, November 24 and will remain open to December 7 in every county except Logan, McDowell, Mingo and Wyoming counties.
Hunters may harvest one buck with a base license and can purchase a stamp for an additional buck where allowed. 
Hunters must wear at least 400 square inches of blaze orange when hunting during firearms season, Anyone in the woods during that time is also encouraged to wear blaze colors.
All hunters aged 15 or older must have a valid West Virginia hunting license, unless hunting under resident landowner privileges.
Deer harvests must be field tagged and checked electronically with the West Virginia DNR at WVhunt.com.
There are additional days of deer hunting in West Virginia in December under antlerless season and other weapon seasons.
