The Berkeley Springs Lady Indians soccer team capped off an outstanding season with several players earning top honors in the 2025 West Virginia High School Soccer Coaches Association (WVHSSCA) A-AA Girls All-State selections.
Senior Albani Cirigliano was named Regional Player of the Year, a testament to her leadership and dominance on the defensive line. Her ability to control the game from the back and shut down opposing offenses made her one of the most respected defenders in the state. In addition to the regional honor, Cirigliano was selected for the All-State First Team as a defender.

Junior forward Circe Powell earned a spot on the All-State Second Team thanks to her offensive skill and clutch scoring throughout the season. Her dynamic play made her one of the top attacking threats in the region.

Honorable Mention recognitions were awarded to junior Scotlyn Forney, junior Taylor Andrews and sophomore Abigail Close. Each of these players contributed significantly to the Lady Indians’ success, demonstrating consistency, determination and skill in every match.



According to MaxPreps data, the team’s season statistics reflect their balanced and effective play. Cirigliano played 19 games, scoring 19 goals and adding 4 assists. Powell also played 19 games, recording 14 goals and 16 assists. Taylor Andrews contributed 7 goals and 2 assists, while Abigail Close added 18 goals and 5 assists, proving to be a steady contributor. Scotlyn Forney added 1 goal and 2 assists, providing a strong presence in the midfield.
The Lady Indians’ combination of offensive firepower and defensive strength led to a memorable season. These honors are a reflection of the team’s hard work, dedication, and commitment to excellence.
