West Virginia State Police have charged a Kearneysville man with domestic battery, third offense, after responding to a 911 call for a domestic assault in progress in Paw Paw on Sunday, November 16 at about 3:15 p.m.
According to a criminal complaint filed in Morgan County Magistrate Court by Trooper Trenton Short, officers observed the victim’s neck was covered in blood. A witness wielded a baseball bat to stop the attacker, while another called 911.
Aaron M. Carrie, 36, was arrested at the scene and charged with domestic battery, third offense.
Carrie was previously convicted of domestic battery in Morgan County in 2016, and in Berkeley County in 2019.
He is incarcerated at Eastern Regional Jail on a $25,000 bond.
