Just two days later, on September 25, the energy was electric as the Lady Pirates returned to their home court to face the Salisbury Lady Elks from Pennsylvania. The match was a battle, with Paw Paw taking the first two sets before Salisbury fought back to steal the third. But the Pirates weren’t done—they rallied with grit and fire to close out the fourth set and claim the win: 25-15, 25-18, 20-25, 25-21. Sophia Ross led the charge with a dazzling 20 points, five aces and four kills, while Shayla Tanouye delivered a monster performance with 14 kills, 12 points, and five aces. Kyndal Corbett stayed clutch with 12 points, five aces, and seven kills, and Abby Williams stepped up with four points, three aces and a kill that helped seal the deal.
With these two electrifying wins, the Lady Pirates are building serious momentum. Their chemistry, confidence, and competitive edge are setting the stage for an unforgettable season. If this week is any indication, Paw Paw volleyball fans are in for a wild ride—because this team is just getting started.
