The Berkeley Springs Indians golf team hit the road last week, traveling to Jefferson County to compete in the Musselman Invitational at the Locust Hill Golf Course. The challenging layout tested golfers from around the region, with the Indians battling through tough conditions to earn a seventh-place team finish with a combined score of 286.
Freshman standout Cayden Swink continued to impress, carding a team-best 86 on the day. Junior Jackson Davison and sophomore Owen Gray each shot 100, while freshman Lu Henry posted a 101 to round out the team scoring.

Just days later, on Friday, August 29, Berkeley Springs hosted the annual Berkeley Springs Invitational at the Cacapon Resort State Park Golf Course. Thirteen visiting teams joined the Indians for a full day of competition.
Berkeley Springs placed 10th overall in the talented field, finishing with a team score of 267. Once again, Swink led the way, firing a sharp round of 81. Gray followed with a 90, while Henry and Davison added scores of 96 and 97, respectively.

The pair of tournaments provided valuable experience for the young Indians squad, as they continue to build consistency and confidence heading into the heart of their fall season.
