County EXPO offers taste of Morgan County talent this Saturday

The Morgan County EXPO, a celebration of youth and local skills, will be held this Saturday, July 26 in the Berkeley Springs State Park and at the Ice House. Main events run from 10 a.m. on Saturday to 3 p.m. with live music in the park, along with contests, EXPO exhibits, free community information and more!

Kicking off the music this weekend is local radio station COOL 92.9, broadcasting live from the park from 10 a.m. to noon. During their broadcast, the highly anticipated watermelon-eating contest will be held at 11:30 a.m. in the park.

Live music continues at noon with The Clovers and at 1 p.m. by The BlackCat Village Band.

Cakes entered into the EXPO 4-H contest will be auctioned off at 2 p.m. at the Ice House on Mercer Street to raise funds for the 4-H.

Back in the park at 2 p.m., music from Mike and Conner will be on offer until 2:45 p.m.

4-H projects from Morgan County youth will be on display all day and through August 1 at Hunter’s Hardware.

Also throughout the day, get a ticket to swim for free at Berkeley Spring State Park pool. Tickets can be found at the WVU Extension booth.

A preview of EXPO exhibits will be open for public viewing on Friday, July 25 at the Ice House from 6 to 7 p.m. before the evening’s free concert.
