Norma Lee Offord, age 92, of Berkeley Springs, W.Va., passed away on Wednesday, July 2, 2025 at WVU Medicine Berkeley Medical Center in Martinsburg, W.Va.
Born April 26, 1933 in Morgan County, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late James Albert “Hickory” and Mary Elizabeth Shriver Harden.
She attended Mt. Pleasant Church.
Norma was a graduate of Berkeley Springs High School.
She worked as a cook with Warm Springs Restaurant for many years.
Norma loved cooking, baking, sewing and was a devoted mother and grandmother.
Norma is survived by her son, Eldon Eugene Offord of Berkeley Springs, W.Va., one brother, James Albert Harden, Jr. (Judy) of Berkeley Springs, W.Va., one granddaughter, Katie Offord and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Eugene Offord, four sisters, Lola Mae Unger, Wilma Elizabeth Hovermale and Freda Voneda Swink and one brother, Lester William Harden.
Funeral services were conducted at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, July 8, 2025 at Helsley-Johnson Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 95 Union Street, Berkeley Springs, WV, where the family received friends from 11 a.m. until service time. Burial was in Mt. Pleasant Church Cemetery.
