It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Elizabeth Ann “Bette” Cain, age 63, of Berkeley Springs, W.Va., who passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, June 26, 2025.
Born on March 20 1962 in Washington, D.C.
Bette was a loving daughter and sister. She loved animals especially her birds, Pretty Boy and Cirrus and her dog, Gypsy.
Bette enjoyed making hand crafted cards and gifts with a sentimental touch.
Bette is survived by her loving mother, Marion B. Daley Schmeling of Berkeley Springs, W.Va., two brothers, Randy Schmeling III (Sharon) of Berkeley Springs, W.Va. and Bryan (Jackie) of Martinsburg, W.Va. and two nieces, Saleen Schmeling and Maddi Dickens.
She was preceded in death by her father, Randolph E. Schmeling II.
A private celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
