Kyle Moore makes his mark: BSHS Sophomore earns AAA All-State Honorable Mention

The future is bright for Berkeley Springs High School baseball as sopho- more standout Kyle Moore was named Honorable Mention on the 2025 West Virginia Class AAA All-State Baseball Team.

In just his second year of high school ball, Moore turned heads with his all- around contributions on the field, both at the plate and on the mound. Offensively, he posted a strong .308 batting average over 78 at-bats, finishing the season with 24 hits, including 6 doubles, 2 triples and 2 home runs. Moore also tallied 18 RBIs, crossed the plate 14 times and swiped 10 bases. His .400 on-base percentage and .513 slugging percentage highlight his ability to get on base and drive the ball with power.

Moore also proved to be a workhorse in the pitching rotation. Logging 53 innings across the season, he notched 50 strikeouts while maintain- ing a 3.93 ERA. Despite a 4– 6 record, Moore consistently battled against tough competition and anchored the Indians’ pitching staff throughout the year.

Defensively, Moore was just as dependable. With 50 putouts and 18 assists, he maintained a solid .950 field- ing percentage, demonstrating his reliability and versatility in the field.

With two more years left in his high school career, Moore is poised to be a cornerstone for the Indians’ program and a name to watch across the state.
