Phillip L. Stotler, Jr.
1942-2025
Phillip L. Stotler, Jr., age 82, of Berkeley Springs, W.Va., passed away at Winchester Medical Center on Wednesday, June 4, 2025.
Born June 9, 1942, he attended Morgan County Public Schools, where he would later excel in playing basketball for Berkeley Springs High School.
His career was being a Health Insurance Salesman/Broker for Blue Cross/Blue Shield and later for Smith/Nadenbousch Insurance Company in Martinsburg, W.Va.
He was an avid golfer and enjoyed playing golf with friends, especially at Cacapon State Park Golf Course in Berkeley Springs, W.Va. He enjoyed spending time with his family at home and also enjoyed dining out with family at what was then the Red Horse Restaurant, Hagerstown, Md.
Mr. Stotler was preceded in death by his wife, Kenda Dawson Stotler, his father, Phillip L. Stotler, Sr., his mother, Madeline Dunham and step-father Robert L. Dunham, Sr.
He is survived by two sons, Lanceton Dawson Stotler and Britton Phillip Stotler (Caitlin), a sister, Edwina Harington and a brother, Robert Linwood Dunham, Jr. and two grandchildren.
Visitation was on Tuesday, June 10, 2025 from 5-7p.m. at the Helsley-Johnson Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 95 Union Street, Berkeley Springs, W.Va. Private burial was in Union Chapel Cemetery.
