Berkeley Springs State Park seeks input on Washington bathtub plans

The West Virginia Division of Natural Resources is seeking input for 15 days, from stakeholders for proposed work to be performed at Berkeley Springs State Park.

Park officials are proposing “restoration of the replica of George Washington’s Bathtub using period bricks that match the original ones and to install a 12-foot by 34-foot pad constructed of Fairfax Street Pavers and electrical access adjacent to Washington’s Bathtub.”

That area has been used for the Morgan Arts Council summer concerts series for years, and the pad could be used as a stage area for performances.

Written comments about the proposed work must be received no later than June 26 and shall be addressed to:
