Marilyn Beaver

1942-2025

It is with deep sorrow and much love that we announce the passing of Marilyn Beaver, who passed away unexpectedly at Winchester Medical Center on Friday, May 16, 2025 at the age of 82.

Born September 13, 1942 in Magnolia, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late Vernon and Lillian Parker Shambaugh.

She was a Christian and attended Abundant Life Church.

Those who knew her will remember the love she had for her family.

She is survived by three daughters, Karen Mills and husband, Wesley, Sheila Smith, all of Berkeley Springs, W.Va., Cheryl Truly of Hancock, Md., her five grandchildren, Jason Hook and his wife, Erin, Jesse Mills and his wife, Joy, Jamie Hook and his wife, Jess, Lindsey Smith and Todd Smith, her ten great grandchildren, Hunter Hook, Seth and Logan Mills, Drayden and Paige Hook, Tayen Beddow, Jaxton and Kirra Hook, Ava and Christian Hook and many nieces and nephews, two sisters, Betty Ruppenthal and Erma Dawson and husband, John.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Elizabeth Fischer, Ann Lynch and Margaret Clopper, two brothers, Vincent E. Shambaugh and Roland Shambaugh, Sr,

There will be a private Celebration of Life with immediate family per her wishes that we will honor.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Marilyn’s memory may be made directly to the funeral home to help defray funeral expenses.
