Joyce Marie Fink
1940-2025
Joyce Marie Fink, 84, of Martinsburg, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, May 17, 2025 at Berkeley Medical Center. She passed peacefully surrounded by her loving family.
Born December 25, 1940 in Bakerton, W.Va. she was the daughter of the late W. R. Miller, Sr. (stepfather) and Jane Marie Hess Miller.
She was a 50 year member of Moler Avenue Church of the Brethren.
Mrs. Fink was a graduate of Hedgesville High School (1958) and James Rumsey Vocational School (1982) where she earned her LPN degree.
She later retired from the VA Medical Center.
She enjoyed family trips to Ocean City, Myrtle Beach, New York City and Nutter’s Ice Cream.
She is survived by her husband of 68 years, Harold Bryan Fink, Jr., whom she married July 20, 1957; two sons, Jeffrey B. Fink (Benita) of Martinsburg, W.Va. and Monte L. Fink (Janet) of Murrells Inlet, S.C.; two daughters, Brenda D. Cyhanick (Ted) of Martinsburg and Christal M. Akers (Sheldon) of Berkeley Springs; eleven grandchildren, Elizabeth “Beth” Murray (Travis), Jeremy B. Fox, Luke O’Roke (Jamie), Amber O’Roke (Chad), Ashley M. Fink, Bryan Fink, Michael Duncan (Teresa), Brittany Gerver (Matthew), Matthew Fink (Dee), Benjamin Akers, Elliott Akers; eight great grandchildren, Alec Murray, Mikayla Hensell (Logan), Elizabeth O’Roke, Liam O’Roke, DaShon Arnold (Elania), Madix Williams (Kenneth), Azeria Duncan, Kainaan Gerver and Ezrah Gerver; four great-great grandchildren; Jaxon, Owen, Koa and Maeve; two brothers, Willie R. Miller, Jr. (Norma) of Hagerstown and Stephen D. Miller (Nancy) of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; great niece, great nephews and numerous cousins.
She is preceded in death by niece, Stephanie Eichelberger and brother Larry L. Miller.
Family received friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, May 20, 2025 at Brown Funeral Home. Services will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, May 21, 2025 at the Moler Avenue Church of the Brethren with Pastor Robert Miller officiating. Interment will be in Pleasant View Memory Gardens.
