Della Frances McCauley, 64, of Winchester, Va., died Sunday, April 27, 2025 in Hospice of the Panhandle, Kearneysville, W.Va.
Della was born March 8, 1961 in Winchester, Virginia, the daughter of George William McCauley and Emma Virginia Baker Lockhart.
She resided most of her childhood with her aunt and uncle, Lillian and Melvin “Jack” Wilson of Berkeley Springs, W.Va.
She worked as a cook.
She is survived by her mother, Emma of Martinsburg, W.Va.; three daughters, Samantha Chambers of Winchester, Va., Michelle Thompson of Winchester, Va. and Charlene Thompson of Berryville, Va.; three sons, Branden Hott of Winchester, Va., Derek Hott of Bangor, Maine and Travis Hott of Bangor, Maine; and ten grandchildren; two sisters, Betty Ann McCauley of Berkeley Springs, W.Va., Deidre Jackwelyn McCauley of Berryville, Va.; three brothers, Leo George McCauley of Martinsburg, W.Va., James Lewis McCauley of Winchester, Va. and Ronnie William McCauley of Martinsburg, W.Va.
She was preceded in death by her father, George.
A Celebration of Life will be held 2 p.m., Saturday, May 31, 2025 at Berryville Moose Lodge 2139, Berryville, Va. Please bring a side dish to share.
