Sleepy Creek Watershed to hold Make-it-Shine Cleanup April 12

The Sleepy Creek Watershed Association will host its the annual West Virginia Make-It-Shine campaign on Saturday, April 12 from 10 a.m. to Noon.

This year’s litter clean-up site is on Spohrs Road east of Berkeley Springs.  To arrive at the site, follow Rte. 9 East (Martinsburg Road) from Berkeley Springs for five miles and turn right on Spohrs Road just past the Mt. Zion Methodist Church.  Follow Spohrs Road down the hill to its intersection with Eckerd Lane to park and sign in.

The clean-up will be held rain or shine.

Family members of all ages are welcome to help and participants should dress appropriately for the weather.  The Association will provide gloves if needed, trash bags, a limited number of litter pickup sticks and bottled water.  Bring any desired additional personal refreshment.
