Shayla Tanouye earns All PVC Basketball Honors

In a standout season for the Paw Paw Lady Pirates, junior sensation Shayla Tanouye has emerged as a pivotal player, leading her team in scoring and earning well-de- served recognition on the Potomac Valley Conference Division 3 All-PVC Girls Basketball Team for the 2024-25 season.

Tanouye’s impressive performance on the court throughout the season has been nothing short of spectacular, showcasing her skill, determination, and leadership on the team. Her contributions have been crucial in guiding Paw Paw through a competitive conference landscape, where she has consistently delivered game-changing plays and stellar performances.

Joining Tanouye on the All-PVC team are notable seniors from East Hardy and Union High Schools, including Brooklynn Tinnell, Chloe Miller, Addison Armentrout, Chanelle Sutton and Lexi

Stahl. Their achievements underscore the depth of talent across the conference this season, with each player making significant impacts for their respective teams.

East Hardy High School also celebrated a successful season, clinching the Conference Champions title under the guidance of Coach Calvin Mongold, who was rightfully honored as the Conference’s Coach of the Year. This recognition highlights Mongold’s exceptional coaching acumen and leadership in steering his team to excellence throughout the season.

As the season concludes, Shayla Tanouye’s stellar performance and leadership qualities stand as a testament to her dedication and skill on the basketball court.
