Mary Florence Ricker
1944-2025
Mary Florence Ricker, age 80, of Hedgesville, W.Va., passed away on Wednesday, February 12, 2025 at War Memorial Hospital in Berkeley Springs, W.Va.
Born July 16, 1944 in Berkeley Springs, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late Clarence Bernard and Pansy Marie Farrell Rankin.
Mary was a graduate of Berkeley Springs High School.
She worked as a waitress at the Park-N-Dine Restaurant in Hancock, Md., for over 30 years where she met and enjoyed a lot of people.
She loved working in her flower beds and going to yard sales and festivals. She liked bingo, slots, crafts, puzzles and going to the ballfield. Most of all she loved her family and they are what mattered most to her. She was not a fancy person and never cared what people thought. So she did it her way!
She is survived by two sons, Gerald Ricker (Angela) and Mike Ricker (Gale); one daughter, Angie Ricker (Melissa); two sisters, Louise Marie “Tootie” Griffith and Linda Sue Rankin; one granddaughter, Samantha Ricker; many step grandchildren and step great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Clarence David Rankin.
Funeral services were conducted on Tuesday, February 18, 2025 at 1 p.m. at Helsley-Johnson Funeral Home, 95 Union Street, Berkeley Springs, W.Va. Andrew J. Berens officiated. The family received friends on Monday evening from 5-7 p.m. Burial was in Bethel Cemetery, Berkeley Springs, W.Va. following services.
