Curtis J. Waugh, Sr.
1958-2025
Curtis James Waugh, Sr., 66, of Berkeley Spring, W.Va., died on Tuesday, February 11, 2025, at his home.
Curtis was born on December 9, 1958 in Berkeley Springs, W.Va., the son of the late Avon R. and Shirley L. Bowers Waugh.
He worked for Plumley Lumber Company/Virginia Hardwoods in Winchester, Va., for 45 years.
Curtis enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, restoring old trucks, his friendships at the Southern Belle Truck Stop and being with his family and friends.
Curtis married Peggy S. Omps Waugh on September 24, 1977 in Winchester, Va.
Surviving with his wife of 47 years are three sons: Curtis J. Waugh, Jr. (Mandy); Bradley A. Waugh (Jennifer); Michael J. Waugh, all of Berkeley Springs, W.Va.; three daughters: Kayla S. Waugh; Kiersten N. Jenkins (Cody); Madison B. Waugh (Pete), all of Berkeley Springs, W.Va.; a brother: Dennis Waugh, of Berkeley Springs, W.Va.; a sister: Virginia Waco in Delaware; two granddaughters: Kenzi and Juliette and three great-grandchildren: Levi, Ryker and Aya.
He is preceded in death by a grandson: Aiden and a brother: Randy Waugh.
A funeral service was held at Union Chapel United Methodist Church in Berkeley Springs, W.Va., on Monday, February 17, 2025 at 11 a.m. Officiating was Pastor Mike Leedom. Interment followed in the church cemetery.
