The Berkeley Springs High School wrestling team showcased their skills at the Washington Elite Opener, earning several placements in a competitive field of twelve teams from Maryland, Pennsylvania, Virginia and West Virginia.
120 lbs: Elijah Parsell placed seventh. Parsell finished strong with a victory by fall in the seventh-place match over Naim Smith of Keyser.
126 lbs: Vaughn Taylor placed eighth, highlighting the day with two wins by fall in the consolation rounds.
132 lbs: Daniel Clark placed fifth. Clark demonstrated resilience, securing a fall in the fifth-place match against Cameron Kie of Skyline.
138 lbs: Jacob Morgan placed sixth, earning two early victories, including a win by decision over Elliot Byers of Benedictine.
138 lbs: Mikell Gusciora placed eighth, recording a decisive fall over Austin Brown of Washington in the consolation bracket.
144 lbs: Kaiden Proctor placed sixth, claiming victories by tech fall and major decision during the tournament.
150 lbs: Trent Fox placed seventh, ending his tournament with a decision win over James Ortuno of Benedictine in the seventh-place match.
150 lbs: Jordan Unger placed tenth, gaining valuable experience against a challenging bracket.
157 lbs: Aiden Cain placed fourth, earning multiple victories, including a key decision win over Cole Hershberger of Benedictine.
165 lbs: Kollin Sullivan placed fourth, highlighted by three wins by fall and a medical forfeit victory.
175 lbs: Garrin Place placed fifth, finishing with a dominant fall over Evan Taylor of Riverbend in the fifth- place match.
190 lbs: Krystian Norris placed third, showcasing his strength with a string of vic- tories by fall, including a win over Luke Cannaday of Washington in the third-place match.

The Berkeley Springs wrestlers displayed determi nation and skill, tying for fourth place in the team standings with rival Keyser. The experience gained at this tournament will serve them well as they continue their season with the annual Max Horz Invitational this Friday, December 13 and Saturday, December 14.
