Two Berkeley Springs runners compete in State Cross Country Championships

On Saturday, November 2, two Berkeley Springs High School athletes represented their school at the 2024 Class A A State Cross Country Championships held at Ca- bell Midland High School in Cabell County. The challenging course, known for its picturesque yet demanding terrain, set the stage for an exciting competition.

For the boys, senior LJ Sealey completed his high school cross country career with a solid 49th-place finish out of 98 runners, clocking a time of 18:29. On the girls’ side, freshman Bella Shoe- maker impressed with a 23rd- place finish out of 94 runners, posting a time of 22:11.

Both Sealey and Shoemaker trained hard all season, showcasing their dedication and endurance through each race. Their performances at the state level capped off an outstanding season for Berkeley Springs cross country.
