by Lisa Schauer

Visitors and locals of all ages enjoyed a picturesque autumn day of outdoor family fun at Cacapon Resort State Park on Saturday, October 26.

Halloween activities at the park included a pumpkin carving contest at the nature center pavilion, followed by haunted hayrides to the middle fork cabins, and a spooky campfire with marshmallows. Glowsticks and bracelets were handed out.

Halloween candy and decorations were provided by The Seely Foundation.

Winners of the pumpkin carving contest at Cacapon State Park on Saturday, October 26 were Harper, 7, and Ted, 8, seated next to their original creations.
