Registered West Virginia voters wanting to participate in the November General Election can vote early and in person starting today, Wednesday, October 23.
West Virginia offers 10 days of early voting, including two Saturdays – October 26 and November 2. Early voting takes place in the Morgan County Courthouse in the County Clerk’s office on the first floor.
Early voting locations are open Monday through Friday during the same regular hours that the county courthouse is open, as well as from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. both Saturdays during the early voting period.
Voters can view their sample ballot before voting by requesting from their county clerk or looking it up online at the West Virginia Secretary of State’s website at https://wv.omniballot.us/sites/54/ballot/app/sb/vr.
A copy of Morgan County’s ballots can also be found in the October 16 issue of The Morgan Messenger and will be published again in the October 30 edition.
According to West Virginia Secretary of State Mac Warner, all early voters should bring a form of personal identification with them.
Absentee by-mail voting is only available to certain eligible voters. To find out if you are eligible to vote an absentee-by-mail ballot, contact your county clerk. Absentee ballots can be requested up until October 30.
Secretary Warner also reminds voters that there are only two trusted sources for election information in West Virginia: the West Virginia Secretary of State’s Office and your county clerk.
