Local teen found in southern West Virginia, adult male being held in investigation

The Berkeley Springs teen who was reported missing from her home off Fairview Drive in Berkeley Springs on August 3 has been located by West Virginia State Police in southern West Virginia, police announced on Monday.

Angel Turner was found on Sunday, August 18 after an extensive investigation by the Morgan County Sheriff’s Department, West Virginia State Police and FBI with assistance from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.

Turner was located in the company of an adult male who was apprehended and held in custody on criminal charges, said the Morgan County Sheriff’s Department.

Due to the ongoing criminal investigation, the Sheriff’s Department said on Monday that no further information will be released at this time.

The Morgan County Sheriff’s Department thanked all the involved agencies and the public for their assistance.
