The Morgan Arts Council (MAC) announces that the MAC Summer Music Series will have two concerts this weekend, Friday on the Charlotte’s Cafe Garden Stage at the Ice House and Saturday in the Berkeley Springs State Park.
On Friday, July 26, concertgoers will listen to the return of Proverbs on the Charlotte’ s Cafe Garden Stage at the Ice House. Proverbs is a positive, unique, rootz reggae band utilizing strong lyrical content and musical expression to uplift Rasta Livity.
Proverbs Reggae Band offers fans and true music connoisseurs of all social, economic, and racial backgrounds.
On Saturday, July 27, in the Berkeley Springs State Park, our Saturday Concerts in the Park series features Tony Holiday.
His community has been at the core of Holiday’ s young career from the beginning. Since relocating from Salt Lake City to Memphis in 2017, Holiday has been at the center of a soul blues revival in Memphis, anchored by a contingent of young, savvy, well-schooled musicians with a “family-like” attitude and a strong belief in one another.
The Saturday Concert in the Park series has been a Morgan Arts Council tradition since 1987. The concerts start at 5:30 p.m. and are free for all ages. Take a lawn chair or blanket.
