Edsel Grant Seavolt
1945-2024
Edsel Grant Seavolt, 78, Hancock, Md., passed away Wednesday, May 15, 2024, at the University of Maryland Hospital in Baltimore, Md.
Born Sunday, June 3, 1945, in Hancock Md., he was the son of the late Edison and Opal Powell Seavolt, and the husband of Betty Clingerman Seavolt.
He was a 1963 graduate of Hancock High School.
He was employed at Napa Auto Parts of Hancock for 50 years.
He enjoyed hunting and fishing, but most of all, he enjoyed working on his 1970 C-10 pickup truck.
In addition to his wife of 51 years, Betty, he is survived by three daughters, Ginger Kerns, and husband Kenny, Hancock, Md., Cheryl Barnard, Warfordsburg, Pa. and Christy Day, and husband Tony, Hancock, Md.; seven grandchildren, Kayla, Austin, Erik, Levi, Justin, Jasmine and Brady; two great-grandchildren, Declan and Keston; two sisters, Dorthea Hull and Phyllis Norris; and several nieces and nephews.
The family received friends, Tuesday, May 21, 2024, 5-8pm, at Grove-Rogowski Funeral Home, 141 West Main St., Hancock, Md. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 22, 2024, at 11 a.m., at Orchard Ridge First Church of God, 14128 Orchard Ridge Rd., Hancock, Md. Burial will follow at Tonoloway Church Cemetery, 602 Thompson Rd., Needmore, Pa. Pastor Jeff Hawbaker will officiate.
Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Grove-Rogowski Funeral Home, 141 West Main St., Hancock, MD.
