Conrad John Zittinger

1936-2024

Conrad John Zittinger, age 88, of Great Cacapon, W.Va., died on Saturday, March 23, 2024 at his home while under the care of Hospice of the Panhandle.

Born February 24, 1936 in Baltimore, Md., he was the son of the late George Conrad and Alice Kelly Zittinger.

He was a Christian. Conrad was a graduate of Kenwood High School in Baltimore County, Md., and attended college. He served with the United States Army.

Conrad was owner operator of CZ Enterprises Well Drilling Company.

He was a Boy Scout and was a First Class Scout. Conrad enjoyed building houses, he designed and built his current house along the Cacapon River. He liked camping and going hiking.

Conrad is survived by his wife, Patricia Ann McLearn Zittinger, at home; four children, Katherine Ann Fielder and Alice Kirton, both of Pasadena, Md., John Conrad Zittinger of Seaford, Del., and Michael Charles Zittinger of Baltimore, Md.; 10 grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Harriett Mackenzie.

Services and burial will be private.
