Berkeley Springs State Park dressed in her Easter best with a display of cherry blossoms, daffodils, and
other spring flowers for the town’s annual Easter egg hunt on Easter Sunday, March 31.
Easter is celebrated by Christians around the world as the day Jesus was resurrected.
Berkeley Springs’ annual Easter egg hunt is sponsored by the Sons of the American Legion, Alderton-Dawson
Post 60. Its members have become adept at hiding eggs throughout the park.
Legion volunteers working at the gazebo said there were prize eggs with $10 bills in them at each of four heats, for children ages one to 13 years.
A plentiful amount of plastic Easter eggs laced the park. Each child was ensured success on their hunt, with the park providing a background for Easter family photos.
