Sleepy Creek Watershed group to hold clean up at Spruce Pine Hollow April 5

The Sleepy Creek Watershed Association will host its the annual West Virginia Make-It-Shine campaign on Friday, April 5 from 10 a.m. to noon.  This year’s litter clean-up site is Spruce Pine. Hollow Park east of Berkeley Springs on Martinsburg Road (WV-9).  Follow Route 9 East from

Berkeley Springs for approximately nine miles and the park is on the right shorty after crossing Sleepy Creek.

The clean-up will be held rain or shine. Family members of all ages can help.  Participants should dress appropriately for the weather.

The Association will provide gloves if needed, trash bags, a limited number of litter pickup sticks and bottled water.  Bring any desired additional personal refreshment.
