Lady Indians Soccer takes win on senior night

This past Thursday night, October 5, the Berkeley Springs Lady Indians hosted the Southern Fulton Lady Indians in high school soccer action at Morgan Field. Berkeley Springs was looking to snap a seven game losing streak and pick up their fourth win of the season.

Berkeley Springs delivered on senior night as the Lady Indians picked up a 4-1 win over the visitors from Pennsylvania. Senior Melissa Seabright had two goals while freshman Circe Powell added two more help propel Berkeley Springs to the win.

Senior goalkeeper Miyah Saville had seven saves in goal while freshman keeper Willow Rhoten added three saves.

Berkeley Springs got shots on goal from Lilly Morgan, Tenacious Ray, Melissa Seabright, Circe Powell, Georgia Powell and Janelle Apsey.

“The Lady Indians had a great game. The passing was point on and the teamwork was outstanding,” stated head coach Steve Havermale.

After the win the Lady Indians (4-10) honored seniors Miyah Saville, Clara Payne, Lilly Morgan and Seirrah Hose.

Berkeley Springs will end their regular season this Tuesday, October 10 when they host Hampshire at 5 p.m.
