Apple Butter Festival adds Friday Night Block Party

The 48th Annual Apple Butter Festival in Berkeley Springs, WV makes a fun new addition to their yearly event, with a Friday Night “Block Party” on October 6 from 5 to 9 p.m.

Many vendors, locals and visitors who come early for the festival are looking for something to do Friday evening. This will give everyone a chance to relax, enjoy food and beverages, and some great entertainment, said festival organizers.

Mercer Street will be closed between Fairfax Street and Union Street for this event.

The evening will feature the Apple Butter Festival Craft Beer and Wine Garden, many of the food trucks attending the weekend event who will open early, local restaurants, axe throwing, and entertainment on the Charlotte’s Cafe Garden Stage at the Morgan Arts Council’s Ice House.

First up at 5 p.m., local doc Dr. Matt Hahn from River Bend Family Medicine will be spinning records from 5 to 7 p.m. for “Dr. Matt’s Dance Party,” before turning the stage over to BlackCat Music Shop’s Open Mic night from 7 to 9 p.m.

Executive Director Happy Rone said, “We’re loving how the Mercer Street crew is working together to help us create this fun new event.”
