James Watson True, Sr.
1936-2023
James Watson “Jim” True, Sr., age 86, of Hancock, Md., died on Saturday, June 10, 2023.
Born July 3, 1936 in Hancock, Md., he was the son of the late Leroy Franklin and Dorothy Suella Corbett True.
He was a Christian. Jim was a graduate of Hancock High School.
Mr. True worked at the Potomac Edison Power Plant in Williamsport, Md.
Jim is survived by his children, Tina Davison and her husband, Danny of Berkeley Springs, W.Va. and James W. “Skip” True, Jr. and his wife, Tammy of Hancock, one sister, Irene Little of Hagerstown, Md., three brothers, John True and Bun True, both of Hancock and Doug True of Hagerstown, five grandchildren, Corey True, Chasity Fink, Derek Hoffman, Matthew Davison and Brooke Davison, nine great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 64 years, Mona Louise Diehl True.
Services and burial will be private.
