Two Berkeley Springs men arrested on drug, conspiracy charges

Two Berkeley Springs men were arrested in Jimstown on Tuesday, May 16 at about 10 p.m. on drug and conspiracy charges.

Police observed a white Ford work van with West Virginia tags turn onto James Street without using a turn signal, according to a criminal complaint filed in Morgan County Magistrate Court by Morgan County Sheriff’ s Deputy Knotts.

The officer recognized the driver, identified as Bobby Dillon, 37, of Berkeley Springs.

The passenger, identified as Andrew S. Sager, 53, also of Berkeley Springs, said he owned the van, where they had slept the night before, and Dillon was his paid driver.

Three more law enforcement officers arrived on the scene to assist, including a Frederick County sheriff’ s officer with a K-9.

The K-9 immediately alerted to a metal container containing about two ounces of suspected methamphetamine in the driver’ s side door. A bag with drug paraphernalia and plastic baggies was discovered in the back of the van.

Dillon was arrested and charged with possession with intent to distribute. He re- mains incarcerated at Eastern Regional Jail awaiting a hear- ing.

Sager was arrested and charged with conspiracy. He was released on a $15,000 bond.
