Beverly Carnell Youngblood

Beverly (Carnell) Youngblood 90, Berkeley Springs, W.Va., slipped peacefully from this world Saturday, May 6, 2023, at War Memorial Hospital, Berkeley Springs, W.Va.
She was born May 10, 1932, daughter of the late Freida (Mellott) and Frank Carnell (Dott, Pa.).
She was the widow of husbands’ William “Arnie” Fleegle (d. 1968) and Vernon Youngblood (d. 2013), and also predeceased by her brother William “Bill” Carnell, step grandson Lucas Youngblood and two infant children.
She is survived by stepsons and their spouses Chris and Sharon Youngblood (McConnellsburg) and Lewis and Joyce Youngblood (Berkeley Springs), two step-grandchildren, a great step-grandchild, and several nieces and nephews.
In her youth, Beverly had an enthusiasm for gardening and local community support. She also worked for over 20 years as co-business owner and storekeeper with husband Vernon and had a passion for and extensive knowledge of old-time country music and family genealogy.
Visitation will be held at the Pleasant Ridge Brethren Church, 2507 Pleasant Ridge Road, Needmore, Pa. on Friday, May 12 from 12 p.m. until 1 p.m., followed by a memorial service officiated by Rev. Roger Truax and concluding with funeral services and interment in the adjoining cemetery.
