Rosa Lynn Buser

Rosa Lynn Buser

Rosa Lynn Buser, 37, passed suddenly from this life into eternal life with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, April 20, 2023 surrounded by her family and loved ones. Rosa was a spirited country girl through and through.

She grew up in Wayne County, West Virginia, and at the age of nine was diagnosed with a brain tumor. This tumor, however, would not define her, but would instead make her light shine all the brighter. Rosa fought to live her life to the fullest, and as she grew, so too did her faith. She enjoyed singing and was an accomplished writer.

Rosa played softball and cheered in school and was an honor graduate at Wayne High School in 2004.

Rosa attended Marshall University where she graduated cum laude, earning her BA in Elementary Education followed by a MA in Special Education. Throughout her 14 years of teaching, she devoted herself to her students, imparting her love and kindness to each and every one of them. Rosa impacted the lives of fellow teachers, staff, and so many young people across five states and seven schools, as she followed her husband in his military career.

Those whose Rosa’s life touched all recognized her genuine kindness and selfless love for others. She lived purposefully, loved earnestly, and served generously, all to glorify God and bring others closer to Him. Simply put, Rosa’s faith was unshakable, and she brought light into every room and every circumstance.

Rosa leaves behind her best friend and husband of 14 years, Bryan Buser, to whom she was the greatest source of encouragement and the epitome of grace. She also leaves behind her adoring son Jaxon Buser, who was God’s greatest blessing in her life, answer to her prayers, and into whom she poured her love and faith without ceasing. Rosa is also survived by her loving parents Eugene and Jeannie Adkins, and three sisters; Amy Himmelrick, Macy Cochran and Kelly Browning; as well as a multitude of close family and friends.

Rosa’s faith and love will be missed by all those whose lives she touched. Our hearts are broken by this unexpected loss, but we rejoice in her healing and know that she is resting in the arms of her Savior.

Rosa’s light was one of a kind, to know her and be loved by her was to be truly blessed.

Rosa’s viewing will be held at Reger Funeral Home on Friday, April 28, 2023, hours will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. A separate viewing will be held at New Life Church prior to the Celebration of Life from 10 to 11 a.m. A Celebration of Rosa’s Life will be held on Saturday, April 29, 2023, starting at 12: p.m. at New Life Church, 1101 Cedar Crest Dr., Huntington, WV 25705.

Flowers or arrangements can be sent to Reger Funeral Home at 1242 Adams Ave., Huntington, WV 25704.

In lieu of flowers, those wishing to honor Rosa may choose to support the causes and ministries that she championed in life.
