1963-2023

Jeffery Wayne “Web” Weber, age 59 of Viola, Del., passed away suddenly on April 8, 2023. Born April 14, 1963 in Berkeley Springs, W.Va., he was the son of the late Ralph Wayne Fox, Sr. and the late Mary Ellen Corbin Fox.

Web is described as a larger than life man with a captivating personality who would talk to anyone. He was a proud graduate of Berkeley Springs High School.

Jeff served with the United States Army from August 27, 1981 until his honorable discharge on November 16, 1990 at the rank of Staff Sergeant, where he was awarded the Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon, Army Achievement Medal, Army Good Conduct Medal, Drivers Badge, Noncommissioned Officer Professional Development Ribbon, Drivers Mechanic Badge, Army Commendation Medal and the Marksman Qualification Badge.

He worked for Asplundh Tree Company and later in life for several trucking companies.

Jeffery was a member of the Harrington Moose Riders, The American Legion Post #7, and the Harrington Moose Lodge #534.

When Jeff wasn’t working, he enjoyed golfing, riding motorcycles, fishing, horseback riding, and spending time with family, especially his grandchildren and his dog, Largo, as he referred her by “me-dog.”

Web is survived by his wife, Connie Elks and her boys, Hank Cole and his wife, Elizabeth, Mark Cole and his wife, Kimberly, Shaun Cole and his wife, Holly, his grandchildren, Dillon, Alexandria, Peyton, Caleb & Bryce Cole, his siblings, Cynthia Diana Hinckle, Anita Rae Gue, Sandra Kay Stotler and her husband, Donald, Ralph Wayne Fox, Jr. and his partner, David Rainey, Tina Marie Ditto and her husband, Jeff, his dog, Largo, and many nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.

In addition to his parents, Web was preceded in death by one sister, Greta Ellen Fox and one brother, Steven Lynn Weber and two brother’s-in-law, Richard Hinckle and John Gue.

Funeral services were conducted at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 18, 2023 at Helsley-Johnson Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 95 Union Street, Berkeley Springs, W.Va., where the family received friends from 11:30 a.m. until service time. Rev. William K. Stottlemyer officiated. Burial was in Bethel Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Jeff’s memory may be made directly to the funeral home to help defray funeral expenses.

Following the services, everyone was invited for a time of food and fellowship at the Risinger-Stotler VFW Post #4019, 4490 Valley Road, Berkeley Springs, W.Va.
