Janice R. Trail
1933-2023
Janice R. Trail, 90, passed away Monday, April 10, 2023, at War Memorial Hospital in Berkeley Springs, W.Va., where she was a resident of the Extended Care Unit.
Born March 2, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Jess and Janet Apple and the widow of Donald James Trail.
She retired from Ravenwood Lutheran Village Nursing Home in Hagerstown, Md.
She attended Hancock Assembly of God Church.
She is survived by one son, Michael Trail, and wife, Teresa, of Tucson, Ariz.; one daughter, Connie Bennett, and husband, Palmer, of Hancock, Md.; a grandson, Cassidy J. Barton, and wife, Amanda, of Berkeley Springs, W.Va.; a granddaughter, Aimee J. Punt, and husband, Christian, of Greencastle, Pa.; two great-grandchildren whom she loved very much, Cohen J. Barton and Olivia T. Barton, of Berkeley Springs, W.Va..; and one sister, Virginia Lee Lefever, of Hagerstown, Md.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Lindsay L. Barton; a brother, Richard J. Apple and a sister, Marlene Williar.
At the family’s request, funeral services will be private. She will be laid to rest at Rehobeth Methodist Church, Needmore, Pa.
Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Grove Funeral Home, 141 West Main St., Hancock, MD.
