The Berkeley Springs High School tennis teams have been acing the competition recently with many quality wins this season. This past was no different as the Tribe continued to roll.
On Monday, April 3 the Tribe traveled to Petersburg for a PVC contest. The Lady Indians rolled to a 6-1 win over the Lady Vikings. Pick- ing up singles wins were Emma Christie, Truly Henry, Lilly Morgan and Bryn Du- dash. Earning doubles wins were Christie/Henry and Morgan/Dudash.
On the boy’s side the Indians picked up the clean sweep by the score of 7-0. Earning singles wins were Branden Pindell, Cardin Beal, Corey Verkouteren and Jake Shekey. Earning doubles wins were Pindell/Beal, Verkouteren/Justin Brinegar, and Shekey/Brody Beal.
On Tuesday, April 4 Berkeley Springs hosted Region 1 foe St. Mary’s in an early afternoon contest. Once again the Lady Indians picked up a clean sweep by the score of 7-0.
Earning singles wins were Christie, Henry, Morgan and Dudash. Earning doubles wins were Christie/Henry, Morgan/Dudash and Kaydence Tranter and Scarlett Swink.
On the boy’s side the Indians won 3-0 as St. Mary’s did not field a full team. Earning singles wins were Pindell and Beal. Beal and Brinegar picked up the doubles win.
On Wednesday, April 5 the Lady Indians hosted PVC and Region 1 rival Frankfort and picked up the 7-0 win.
Earning singles wins were Christie, Henry, Morgan and Dudash. Earning doubles wins were Christie/Henry, Morgan/Dudash and Tranter/ Swink.
The boys did not have a contest with Frankfort as the Falcons do not have a boy’s team this season.
