Diane Leslie Somers
1953-2022
On 5 December 2022, Diane Leslie Somers died after a brief illness. She was a lifelong resident of Dundalk.
Born in 1953, she attended Baltimore County Public schools where, after returning to college later in life, she enjoyed a career as a teacher.
In her free time and in retirement, she enjoyed taking long scenic drives, watching classic tv shows and spending time with family and friends. She was also an avid decorator who was always updating her home décor in her favorite farmhouse style.
In death, she was proceeded by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lester Somers of Berkeley Springs, W.Va. as well as her brother, Keith Somers (U.S.M.C.).
She is survived by her son, Andrew Middleton (U.S. Army reserve) and his wife Amy, daughter Jennifer Dollenger and her Husband George (U.S.A.F. ret.) and daughter Kate Middleton. She is also survived by her 12 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
A memorial Mass will be celebrated on December 21 at 11a.m. at Sacred Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Dundalk.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to The Education Foundation of Baltimore County Public Schools.
